Adam T. “Tommy” Pietras, 75, of Springfield, died at home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. He was the son of the late Adam Pietras and Alice (Janusz) Pietras Wojnicki. Tommy liked traveling to North Carolina to visit his father and enjoyed following baseball, basketball and football. He is predeceased by his uncles, Stanley Pietras of Chicopee, Jozef Pietras of Wilbraham, Janek Pietras and Wladyslaw Pietras of Poland and his aunt, Hanusia Holc of Poland. He is survived by his close cousin, Joanne (Pietras) Zaskey of Chicopee, along with several other cousins here and in Poland. Tommy’s funeral will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr at 11 am. His burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
