Anne M. (Kennedy) Jankiewicz, 96, died peacefully at home surround by her loving husband and family. Born in Springfield July 22, 1924, the daughter of Irish immigrants, Thomas and Josephine (Hanifin) Kennedy. Anne graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She married Edward Jankiewicz, the love of her life, on August 24, 1946. They spent 74 wonderful years together and raised 4 devoted children; Robert Jankiewicz and his wife, Candace of Old Saybrook, CT, Dyan Kane and her husband, Gerald of Wilbraham, Cathy Manning, and her husband John of Wilbraham, Stephen Jankiewicz, and his wife Laurie of Hampden and their adopted son, Peter Dowers and his wife Denise of Springfield. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Stacy Labadorf, Daniel and Emily Manning, James Kane and Joanna Kane Howell. Thomas, Christopher, Audrey Jankiewicz, Jessica and Steven Jankiewicz, and Nicholas Rzeszutek, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Hodge, Mary Magnani and Eileen Kennedy and her brothers Thomas and James Kennedy. Family and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday June, 30th from 930 to10:30 am at Cierpial Memorial Funeral home on 69 East St. in Chicopee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Church, 387 Chestnut St. in Springfield at 11 am. The burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd. Springfield.
