Barbara F. (Smusz) Hall entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Chicopee where she attended local schools and graduated from Chicopee High School. Barbara attended and graduated from Westfield State College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Barbara married her late husband William Hall, moved to West Springfield and began her 40 plus year teaching career in the Chicopee Public School System. Barbara made beautiful and lasting friendships during her career. Barbara was a communicant of St. Thomas Parish in West Springfield and the Basilica of St. Stanislaus in Chicopee. Barbara was an avid hockey mom travelling all over Massachusetts, Connecticut and Canada. During her years as a grandmother Barbara enjoyed board games, western movies, and watching her grandchildren flourish. One of Barbara’s favorite past times was her weekly Sunday breakfasts with family. Barbara is predeceased by her mother Frances in 2000 and her husband Bill in 1992. Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Anne Crean and her husband Dr. Hugh Crean of Victor, New York; three sons, Bob Hall and his wife Annette, Edmund Hall, and Michael Hall and his wife Traci all of West Springfield; nine grandchildren Danielle Crean, Dr. John Crean and his wife Dr. Karlee Crean, Andrew Crean , Shelby Hall, Zachary Hall, Courteny Sepulveda and her husband Luis, Teaghan Hall, Owen Hall and Gavin Hall. Barbara leaves behind her dear cousin Dr. Susan Plourde of Agawam, her special friend/caregiver, Vicki Walker and her cat Ginny and dog Mustafa. Calling hours are on Thursday, December 16^th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape Street in Chicopee Center. Barbara’s funeral will be held Friday, December 17^th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front Street in Chicopee.
