Barbara J. (Beliveau) Frederick, 83, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Mary’s Meadow in Holyoke. She was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Ann H. (Wnuk) Beliveau. She graduated from Holy Name High School, worked as a clerk at City Tire Co. for many years, and retired from the City of Chicopee Assessor’s Office in 2000. Barbara was born on December 24. 1937 in Chicopee. Barbara was a communicant of the former Assumption Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the folk group and where she received the Pope Pius X award for her devotion to teaching the youth of the parish. Besides her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her husband Ronald A. Frederick who she had 50 wonderful years with, and two brothers Henry & Robert Beliveau. She is survived by her son, Ron Frederick of Mountain View, CA; a cousin, Sally Barg of Chicopee; and many close friends. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral home service at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1905.
