Carol A. Rahilly, 67, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, passed away on February 14, 2020 at home after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born on August 14, 1952. Carol was the daughter of the late Christopher J. and Leonora P. (Sinnott) Rahilly. Carol leaves her brothers, Michael and his wife, Jackie of Chicopee, Patrick of Lady Lakes, FL, Edward and his wife, Ann of Feeding Hills and James of Wilbraham, her sisters-in-law, Frances of West Springfield, Carol of Feeding Hills and Louise of Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces. Carol loved each and everyone. Besides her parents, Carol is predeceased by her brothers, Stephen, Christopher, Daniel, and David, her sister, Mary, her godson, Curtis, and sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Dorothy. The family would like to thank the angels that surrounded Carol on her final journey to heaven to be reunited with her beloved sister, Mary, especially Joy, Lorraine, Victoria and April. Also, the dedicated medical staff and Baystate Hospice. Carol’s funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 9 am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother of Hope Church on 840 Page Blvd. in Springfield at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are on Friday from 4 to 7 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s name to Baystate Hospice, 30 Capital Dr. Ste. A, West Springfield, MA 01089 or the charity of one’s choice.
