Caroline M. (Cassady) Lutz, 91, of Chicopee, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 12, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on September 27, 1930 in Westfield. She was the daughter of the late Julian and Leona (Moran) Cassady. While working at Milton Bradley, she met her husband, Charles A. Lutz. Years later, she worked for Brunswick Bowling Alley, Transcomm Bus Co. and then Laidlaw Bus Co. where she retired as a supervisor. She loved spending time with her family, pets, trips to the beach, cruises and having a good meal out. Caroline is predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Lutz Sr., a step-son, Charles A. Lutz, Jr., her brother, Robert Cassady, her sister, Jeannette Schutt; two grandsons and one great grandson. She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara Comiskey and her husband, Patrick Comiskey, Sr. of Chicopee, Carol Gauthier and her husband, Gerry, of Westfied, Laurie Lutz of Chicopee and Kim Murphy of Gillette, Wyoming; a sister, Diane Hall of West Springfield; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. The family would like to extend extra thanks to her grandaughter, Lisa Miller for her loving care, grandson, PJ Comiskey for making his Granny “Nuts” smile, her aide, Karoline Orria and hospice nurse, Marisa Zulch for their help and care. Calling hours are on Wednesday, February 23 from 5 to 7 pm at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls with a funeral home service at 6:30 pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 11 am at Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee.
