CHICOPEE    Carolyn M. Rapa, 70, of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born on February 9, 1956 in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Metzi “Tati” and Betty Jo (Crumpton) Rapa. Carolyn was a nurses aide in nursing homes and also in private care.  She is survived by four daughters, Tina Rapa and Suzanne LaPointe, both of Chicopee, Jody Paulo of Wallingford, CT and Carie Perron and her husband, Scott of Chicopee; six brothers and two sisters, John and his wife, Mary, Donna Rapa, Joseph and his wife, Karen, Michael and his wife, Donna, Elizabeth Croteau and her husband Larry, Carl and his wife, Kelly, Edward and his wife, Karen and Ronald and his wife, Paula; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Nathaniel, Austin, Hunter, Jayden, Phoebe, William and Eric; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn is pre-deceased by two sisters, Judy Madru and Joan Dzija.  A private burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee.
