Claire P. (Mathieu) Isabelle, 88, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Wingate at West Springfield, with her family by her side. She was a retired thirty five year pager at Avery Dennison Corp.in Chicopee. Claire was born on May 13, 1929 in Holyoke. She was the daughter of the late Phillippe and Eva Marie (Blouin) Mathieu. She was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church and was very active in various activities of the church and a member of the Chicopee Senior Center for over twenty years. Claire is predeceased by her husband of over sixty six years, Donald F. Isabelle, who died on July 13, 2017 and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Olearczyk and her husband, Eugene of Ludlow; two sons, Gary Isabelle and his wife, Diane of Newington, CT and Brian Isabelle and his wife, Rebecca and her daughter, Bethany of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Tracy Pobieglo and her husband Jesse, Ryan Olearczyk and his wife, Cassandra and Monique Golden and her husband, Daniel and two great grandchildren, Isabelle Pobieglo and Brady Golden. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning, July 22, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 am, at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Lyman St. in South Hadley.
