Cornelius Collins “Neil” Robb, III, 70, of Chicopee, died peacefully with his family on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Birch Manor Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Chicopee, following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Neil was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 11, 1945. He was the son of the late Cornelius and Irene (Beaudry) Robb. He moved to Chicopee the following year, where he made his life-long home. He was a graduate of Chicopee High School and American International College. Neil was the beloved husband of forty five years to Rosemary (Kibbe) Robb.

He worked in the family business, Robb Insurance Agency. He was a devoted son, husband, dad and grandpa. Neil was a coach for baseball, basketball and worked Bingo at St. Patrick’s School for many years. He spent many family outings at Echo Lake in Leverett and many summer vacations in Wells, Maine with friends and family. He loved to do projects in his yard. For the kids, he made a huge skating rink for many winters and a wiffle ball diamond during the summers. Neil loved golf and was a member of the Hickory Ridge Country Club and the Chicopee Country Club. He collected lots of golf equipment, gadgets and videos. Neil taught his sons to be awesome golfers. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Andrew and his wife, Amy Appleton Robb and their children Olivia, Jacob, Luke, and Zachary of East Longmeadow and Matthew and his girlfriend, Lynnea Robison and his children, Caelin and Cody of Chicopee; three brothers, Michael of West Springfield, James of Granville, NY and Jeffrey and his wife, Sandra of Suffield, CT.

The family would like to express deep gratitude for the compassionate care and kindness extended by all of the staff at Birch Manor. Their warmth and attention sustained us through the final days. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 10:30 am, follow by his burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 720 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118 or to the charity of one’s choice.
