David J. Hurley, 75, of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at home under the care of his loving family.  He was born on April 11, 1949 in Fitchburg and was the son of the late William A. and Alice G. (Redden) Hurley.  Besides his parents, David is predeceased by his brothers, William and Anthony, and his canine companion, Zelda. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Hurley and her husband, David Bergeron of Springfield and Elizabeth Hurley and her husband, Tony Isaacs of Chicopee and his son, Michael Hurley of Chicopee; his twin sister, Maria Cava of Longmeadow; seven grandchildren, Samuel, Ruby, Luciana, Madelena, Myles, NoraJane and Theodore, several nieces and nephews, and his former wife and forever friend, Mary P. Hurley. David enjoyed walking all of the family dogs and spending time at Forest Park, and was a lover of sports, nature, video games, Pogo, Neil Diamond, Jesus and the Divine Mercy, and his family,… but most of all he loved being “Papa Dave”.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham at 12 noon.  The Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to Baystate Hospice, 30 Capital Dr., West Springfield, MA 01089.
