Donald F. Isabelle, 86, of Chicopee, died on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Wingate at West Springfield with his family by his side. He was born in Holyoke on October 10, 1930 and was the son of the late Leopold and Anna (Ostiguy) Isabelle. Donald was a retired thirty- seven year repairman for the Danaher Corporation. He was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church and a member of the Chicopee Lodge of Elks 1849. Donald was an avid golfer and in his retirement years, he enjoyed woodworking. Donald also enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach and Florida. He is survived by his wife, Claire (Mathieu) Isabelle; a daughter, Donna Olearczyk and her husband, Eugene of Ludlow; two sons, Gary Isabelle and his wife, Diane of Newington, CT and Brian Isabelle and his wife, Rebecca of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Harvey Isabelle and his wife, Ann of FL; a sister, Beatrice Boisjolie and her husband, Edward of Easthampton; three grandchildren, Tracy Pobieglo and her husband, Jesse, Ryan Olearczyk and his wife, Cassandra and Monique Golden and her husband, Daniel and two great grandchildren, Isabelle and Brady. A funeral home service for Donald will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Visitation will be Monday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 pm.
