CHICOPEE    Dorothy Sinkowski, loving Wife, Mother, Baci, Friend, was called to the angels on February 21, 2026, at the age of 86. Her loss will be deeply felt by her husband of 63 years, Henry Sinkowski, her daughters Janet Sinkowski (husband, Jack Frizzell), Kasia Manning (husband, Brian Manning), and Erika Sinkowski (life partner, Scott Marischen). She was a cherished Baci to her grandchildren, Bridgette Maitre, Elijah Ritter, and Sebastian Manning, and to her great-grandchildren, Rori and Bode Maitre, and Fenrir Ritter. Dorothy, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, MA, was a retired nurse, and spent her retirement years volunteering in “Kasia’s Classroom,” at St. Stanislaus School in Chicopee. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church and enjoyed social gatherings with her parish family. She traveled the world with her beloved husband, waltzed and tangoed together (in their day), and polka danced with anyone who would go a round with her on the dance floor. She loved the beach, lobster, and a good party, and was blessed to be able to celebrate Wigilia and Christmas day with her beloved family. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Stella Kwasnik. Her legacy lives on through treasured memories with her family, and everyone she touched. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27^th from 9:30 to 10:30 am, at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St., Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Chicopee, with burial at St. Stanislaus Cemetery to follow.
