Frank John “Jasieu” Buczek, 68, of West Springfield and Hatfield, passed away on October 25TH, 2016, after a yearlong illness. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28th at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 61 Grape St. in Chicopee. Jasieu’s family will receive friends at 10:00 am at the funeral home, followed by a prayer service in the sanctuary of the funeral home at 10:30 am. Burial will follow the service at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Jasieu was born in Springfield, MA on March 31, 1948. He graduated from Chicopee High School and continued on to receive his college degree from the University of Massachusetts – Stockbridge School of Agriculture, where he was also employed for 35 years. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Langlois and her husband, Peter, nephews Nikolas, Benjamin and Zachary all of Hatfield, where he resided for the last year and was given loving and needed care by his sister, Terrie. He will be missed by longtime friends, Jimmy and Frankie Armata and his Monday night crew who were his fishing and hunting buddies for many years. Jasieu is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ann (Dzdula, Glog) Buczek. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101.
