Genevieve Jane (Motyl) Lysick of Chicopee passed away at the age of 101 on November 19, 2024. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was known as Babci to everyone. A lover of books, Jennie was known for her quick wit, wise words, and delicious birthday cakes. She had a strong spirit, living on her own until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, John Motyl and Anna Herchel; her husband, Walter Lysick; and her son, Peter Lysick. She leaves behind her daughter, Linda Montefusco and her son-in-law Frank Montefusco; her granddaughters Lauren McKenna (Michael) and Andrea Tricarico (Joe); grandson Michael Lysick (Silvia); great-grandchildren Elena, Ana, Alex, and Olivia; and her dear friends Jackie and Mike Rahilly. Calling hours will be Monday, November 25, 9:30-10:30 AM, at Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 61 Grape Street, Chicopee, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM at Saint Stanislaus Basilica, 566 Front Street, Chicopee.
