Howard “Howie” R. Gore, Jr., 72, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 16, 1952 in Springfield and was predeceased by his parents, Howard R. Gore, Sr. and Lucille (Hirt) Gore. Howie was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church. He was a storeroom clerk for 40 memorable years at Mercy Medical Center as well as a van driver for Hulmes Transportation. Howie was an avid fan of all sports, but the Baltimore Orioles were his favorite team. He also took great pleasure in fishing and camping. His favorite TV show was the Big Bang Theory (“Bazinga!”). He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Deborah A. (Nadeau) Gore, whom he married on July 10, 1982. He is also survived by two loving daughters; Katherine Chauvette and her husband, Nicholas, and Christina Maxwell and her husband, Scott, Jr. all of Springfield. He adored his two grandchildren, Liliana and Milo Chauvette. Calling hours are on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 10 to 11:30 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Mary Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd. in Springfield at 12 Noon.
