CHICOPEE    James E. Czerwiecki, 71, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at home.  He was born in Holyoke on July 9, 1954 and was the son of the late John and Alice (Hanecak) Czerwiecki.  James was an FAA Certified Technician, a commercial pilot, flight instructor, and taught at East Coast Aero Tech. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 821 and was a jack of all trades. James was predeceased by twin infant brothers. James is survived by his son, Timothy Czerwiecki of Chicopee, two sisters, Chris Martin and Linda Czerwiecki, both of Chicopee, a granddaughter, Kyla Rys and his former wife, Diane (Fisher) Czerwiecki of Westfield. Calling hours are on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at Mary, Mother of Hope Church, Page Blvd. in Springfield at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley.
