JANE M. KMON, 64, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born to Stanley and Geraldine (Wosko) Pietryka on March 13, 1955. Jane was a life-long communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. One of Jane’s greatest legacies was her desire to make everyone feel welcome in her home and life. There was always enough food, plenty of hugs and a lot of laughter. Jane married the love of her life, Edward Kmon in 1973, right out of high school. She leaves behind her husband and best friend of forty five years, Edward; her daughter, Patricia Mouton and son-in-law, Tyler, her son, Louis Kmon and daughter-in-law, Melissa, as well as her grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Aiden and Logan. Jan was predeceased by her brother, Casmier Pietryka. She is survived by her sister, Linda Syniec and her husband Gary and a brother, Walter and his fiancé, Sue Badger. Jane also leaves behind many family members, including cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St., Chicopee Center at 9 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St. at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.
