Jennie C. (Wrzesien) Trojanowski, 94, of Chicopee died August 18, 2017 at Loomis House in Holyoke. She was born June 5, 1923, in Chicopee, the daughter of Karolina Madej and John Wrzesien. Jennie was devoted to family. The highlight of her life was to see her sons grown with families of their own. Jennie enjoyed the pleasures of baking, long conversations with her sister Mary, discussing politics and a good cup of coffee. A Chicopee High School graduate, she worked at the family-owned Fruit Fair Supermarket for many years. Jennie was predeceased in 2015 by her husband of 69 years, Florian “Joe” Trojanowski, her brothers, William, Theodore, and Walter and her sister, Jane Alves. She is survived by her children, Joseph M. Trojanowski and his wife Patricia Foley of Chatham, New Jersey, and David J. Trojanowski of Chicopee; her three grandchildren, Nick Trojanowski and his wife of Arlington, Massachusetts, Anne Trojanowski of New York, New York, and Gina Trojanowski of Chicopee; and her sister, Mary Vanderwalker of Chicopee. Funeral arrangements were handled by Cierpial Memorial Funeral Homes in Chicopee. A funeral service and burial took place on Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
