CHICOPEE    John C. Wrzesien, 74, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2026, at

home. He was born on March 10, 1951, in Chicopee and was the son of the late Walter and

Phyllis (Wegrzynek) Wrzesien.

John was a graduate of Chicopee High School, the former Wilbraham Academy, and attended

American International College. He was a retired produce manager at his family’s grocery store,

Fruit Fair, in Chicopee. John is survived by his sister, Joyce Turrell and her husband, John of

Maine; nephews, Alexander Turrell and his wife Marissa, Andrew Turrell and his wife, Megan,

niece, Karolina Turrell-Matturro and her husband, Matthew, six great-nephews, and several

cousins.

A private funeral home service will be held at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape

St. in Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
