CHICOPEE    John F. Robak, 70, of Chicopee, passed away on his birthday September 5, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Fredrick and Valerya (Chmura) Robak. John proudly graduated from Norwich University and received his master’s degree from AIC. He recently retired as the Chief Financial Officer from Valley Green Inc. John was a member of the Springfield Rugby Club, loved animals, listening to music, and enjoyed attending his daughters’ soccer games. He will be remembered for his bright smile and love of Hawaiian shirts. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol (Grondalski) Robak; his daughters, Samantha and Julia, and a sister, Jackie Connors of VT. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 11 from 5 to 7pm at Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee. John’s funeral will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 169 Hampden St., Holyoke.
