CHICOPEE                John S. Strom, Jr. 70, of Chicopee, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Falmouth Hospital in Falmouth, Ma.  He was born on July 26, 1955 in Rantoul, Illinois and was the son of the late John S. Strom, Sr. and Patricia (Tebo) Strom.  John was a dock supervisor at Overnite Transportation Company for many  years.  He loved the Cape. He was a huge Boston Sports teams fan, especially his beloved New England Patriots. John is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Debra (Bertolasio) Strom; children, Shannon M. Strom of Somerville, MA, Nicole L. Strom of Chicopee and John S. Strom III and wife, Hilary of Springfield; brother, Jeffrey Strom of New Mexico; two grandchildren, Emma Hinds and Iris Hill and nieces and nephew, Heather Strom, Charity Strom, Bright Strom and Becky Kenerson. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his two brothers, Alan and Mark. Calling hours are on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 5 to 7 pm, with a service at 6:30 pm.
