Joseph “Duffy” W. Duffy, 87, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center.  He was born on March 25, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Thomas Parker Duffy and Betty (Meir) Duffy. He served in the US Marine Corp and retired as a Lab Analyst at the former Solutia, now Eastman/Solutia Inc. Duffy was a member of the Moose Family Center.  He is survived by his wife of almost sixty years, Judith H. (Gavin) Duffy; sons, Michael J. Duffy and his wife, Renee and Patrick T. Duffy; five grandchildren: Sean, Ryan, Becca, Madison and Silas; a sister, Elaine and his special nieces, Patty, Freda and Elaine.  Besides his parents, Duffy is predeceased by a son, Steven; his brothers, Richard, Thomas, Robert, Harry and Jerry and his niece Jo Ann. Visitation is on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 9 to 11 am, followed by a funeral home service at 11 am.  Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery in Chicopeee.  Memorial contributions may be made to Moose Charities- Mooseheart, 155 S.
