Linda Menard was born on 2/3/47 in Springfield, MA. She attended Holy Name School in Chicopee, MA. She lived in Holyoke for the majority of her life and moved back to Chicopee in 2017. She went to Holyoke Community College and UMass and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business-Accounting. She worked at Carando Italian Meats for 25 years as an accountant until she retired in 2012. She is a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Cross Church in Holyoke and later Mary, Mother of Hope. She loved water aerobics, traveling around the world, puzzles and cards. She was very involved in Cursillo, volunteered at Rachel’s Vineyard and Soup Kitchen. Most important to her was her family. Linda is predeceased by her parents Paul Menard and Anita (Dubois) Menard and niece Deanna Smith. Linda is survived by her daughter Carrie Choquette and son-in-law Allen, her granddaughters Samantha and Tailor, sister June Lemis and husband Ron, sister Ann Smith and husband Dave, brother Bob Menard and wife Karen, sister Paula Grabiec and husband Lee, brother Joe Menard and wife Cathy, brother Tom Menard and wife Maura, sister Mary Dubin and husband Pete, brother Peter Menard and wife Diane. She had many nieces and nephews: Michael (Ginger), Michele, Debra (Andy), Sandra (Chris), Trevor (Heather), Pam (Ross), Jeff (Gwen), Tara, Melanie (Chris), Jen (Dave), Jenny (Kevin), Christin, Dani, Nikki (Peter), Christine (Justin), Kevin (Kristen), Jaci (Luke), Lisa (Thomas), Alli (Cody).…and many great nieces and nephews: Samantha (Stewy), Alex, Tiffany, Cheyenne, Eleanor, Dylan, Kailei, C.J, Austin, Michael, Gabby, Aiden, Carter, Braedan, Meilin, Brodie, Gavin, Julian, Madison, Walker, Trystin, Fisher, Jodi, Decker, Aria, Jackson…great-great nephew Landyn. Linda’s funeral will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11 am from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd. in Springfield at 12 Noon. There will be calling hours on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
