CHICOPEE    Lisa J. Grilley, 62, of Chicopee, passed away after battling an illness on Saturday, April 11, 2026.  She was born in Verdun, France on September 16, 1963 and was the daughter of Beverly M. (Longo) Grilley and the late George A. Grilley.  Lisa was a 1981 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School. She was a certified nursing assistant for various medical centers and as a personal home care assistant. Lisa also worked as a florist and an iron worker at the Dana Farber Building in Boston. She was an avid runner, in fact, she ran the Boston Marathon in 2008.  Lisa loved flowers and had many tropical plants that she named. She also enjoyed feeding the birds. Lisa loved cooking! Her famous ricotta pie was a favorite at family holidays. She is survived by her mother, her brother, Glenn Grilley and his partner, Nadine McCruden of Feeding Hills; a sister, Lori Jamroz of Chicopee; five nephews, Joseph and Craig Jamroz, Shane, Chad and Seth Green and a niece, Melissa Thurlow. Besides her father, Lisa is predeceased by her sister, Joanne M. Provost and her partner of over thirty years, Michael Leavy. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 10 am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee, her burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
