Lorraine J. (Renaud) Giza, 87, of Springfield, died on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on January 22, 1930 in Holyoke. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Leo and Blanche (Boutin) Renaud. She was a unit secretary at Baystate Medical Center and a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Springfield. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Giza; a son, Edward L. Giza of Springfield; her brother, Ronald Renaud of Windsor, CT; two grandchildren, Joseph Giza and Elizabeth Humphries and four great grandchildren, Eddie Giza, Zoe Giza, Elliott Humphries and Carson Humphries. Lorraine is predeceased by her son, Gary J. Giza, who died on October 2, 1988. Lorraine’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 346 Franklin St. in Springfield at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 am.
