Lynn A. Whateley, 64, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at home.  She was born on April 14, 1960 in Springfield and was the daughter of Carl and Frances (Bruno) Whately.  She attended Chicopee High School.  Lynn enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.  She loved going to the Seafood Festival at Hampton Beach every year with her family, and going to concerts with family and friends.  Lynn also liked going on long motorcycle rides, playing Bingo and anything tie-dye.  Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Sandra Peters and Lynn’s partner, David Dumont.  She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Desormier and her husband, Andy of Chicopee; a brother, Eric Whateley and his wife, Glenda; her grandchildren, Taylor Desormier and Sean Desormier; her aunt, Gail Arrighi; nieces, Aleesha Meager and her husband, Joseph of West Springfield and Taisha Lopez and her husband, Richie of Springfield; nephews, Kyle Peters and his wife, Trisha, of Chicopee and Eric Whateley, Jr. of Chicopee and other nieces and nephews.  Calling hours are on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee.
