Margaret A. Peggy Coburn 87, of Springfield passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at home surrounded by family. She was born on January 21,1937 in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Edmund and Grace (Beliveau) LeMay. Peggy attended Chicopee High School. She was a retired dietitian at the former Ring Nursing Home and also worked at the post office. She enjoyed going out to dinner every night with her daughter Kathy. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Burge and her husband, Kenneth of Springfield, a grandson, Joey Coburn and his wife, Holly of Springfield; three great grandchildren, Tyler Campbell, Destiny Coburn and Dasia Grace Coburn and great greatgranddaughter, Sage Campbell, a son-in-law, Ricardo Lopez of Springfield; Peggy leaves behind her childhood friend Shirley Langdon who she loved going roller skating with. Along with her parents Peggy is predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Coburn, her daughter, AnnMarie Lopez and brother, John LeMay, who fought in the Vietnam War. Peggy’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 11 to 12 Noon, followed with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
