Marilyn (Lesiak) Wayson, 90, formerly of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. She was born on November 11, 1935 in Chicopee and was the daughter of Michael and Victoria (Polchlopek) Lesiak. Marilyn was a thirty-five year employee of Verizon. After retirement, she worked for VOC for twenty years, as a Fuel Assistances Intake Specialist. She was a communicant of the former St. Patrick’s Church in Chicopee. Marilyn loved going to the Casino, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Marilyn also crocheted blankets for babies and enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her four children, Thomas B. Wayson of Chicopee, Michele Emrich and her husband, Lanson of Chicopee, Laurie O’Neil and her husband, Thomas of Tucson, Arizona and James K. Wayson and his wife, Lori, of Southampton: seven grandchildren and four great granddaughters, a niece and several nephews. Besides her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Wayson and two sisters, Emily Fijal and Alvina McDonald. The family would like to thank Life Care for their outstanding love and care, especially her favorite CNA, Lou. Visiting Hours for Marilyn will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 9am to 10:30am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd. Springfield, at 11am. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St. Springfield, MA 01105 or Thomas J.
