Marlene M. (Malek) Czerapowicz, 87, of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Willimansett West in Chicopee.  She was a retired administrative secretary for Deluxe Check Printers. Marlene was born on November 11, 1933 in Chicopee and was the daughter of the late John A. and Genevieve (Dupuis) Malek.  She was a member of  the former St. Patrick’s Church and now a member of St. Rose de Lima Church. Marlene was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed canvas painting.  Reading, baking, traveling and going to the casino were Marlene’s enjoyments.  She is survived by her husband, John J. Czerapowicz of almost sixty four years, a brother, Paul F. Malek and his wife, Ruth W. of Arizona, nephews, Thomas J. Malek of South Carolina, Adam E. Malek of Florida and Christopher C. Malek of Arizona, a niece, Tina M. Malek of Chicopee and many great nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her brother, John J. Malek. An hour of visitation will be held on Monday October 25, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St. in Chicopee. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
