Maureen “Moe” (Maroney) Radzuik, 69, of Chicopee, died on Monday, August 1, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was born on March 26, 1947 in Holyoke and was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary S. (Hackney) Maroney. Moe was a 1965 graduate of Chicopee High School. She retired from Szetela School working as a substitute para professional, which she enjoyed. Moe was the president of the Barry School PTO for six years and a member of the Moose Family Center. She loved camping with her friends in Bernardston, MA. Moe is survived by her husband, John J. Radzuik, a son, Shaun Radzuik, two step daughters, Jill Carey and Janice George and a step son, Christopher Radzuik and five grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews especially her nieces, Kathy Nadeau and Renee Maroney, who were there to help care for her. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Robert J. Maroney, John Maroney, Mary-Jane Vincent, Geraldine Krysten and Thomas Maroney. Her family would like to thank, Diahann, from Spectrum Home Health & Hospice Care for her kindness and compassion. Maureen’s funeral will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother of Hope Church 840 Page Blvd. in East Springfield at 11:00 am. Her burial will take place at a later date. Calling hours are on Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
