Michael E. Dziok, 63, of Chicopee, MA and West Haven, CT, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 after a battle with cancer, which he fought with unwavering courage, wisdom, and strength. Mike was born on September 8, 1961 in Holyoke, MA. He was a graduate of Saint Stanislaus School, Chicopee High School, and Holyoke Community College. He spent his career as a dedicated dock worker and enjoyed many travels with beloved friends and family. He especially enjoyed his time by the ocean, in which he found both vitality and solace. Mike was a talented musician, and his legacy lives on through his cultivation of a culture of community through music in his children, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. He is survived by his parents Raymond and Trudy (Pieciak) Dziok; his devoted wife of 43 years, Eileen (Nahorniak) Dziok; two daughters, Maria Sae-Hau and Diana Walcott and their husbands, Chris and Kevin, and four grandchildren; brother, Raymond Dziok and his wife, Kathleen; sister, Tracey Sarlan; best friend Richard Niemiec and wife Kathleen; devoted sister-in-law Maureen Nahorniak and her brothers and sisters; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is recently predeceased by brother-in-law Thomas Sarlan, as they ascend together into eternal happiness. Calling hours are Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 4 to 7pm. A funeral will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 8:30am at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Stanislaus School and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
