Michael J. “Brimor” Brisbois, 72, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was born on September 8, 1949 in Springfield. Mike was the son of the late James N. Brisbois and Gilda (Pio) Brisbois. He was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus. Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley M. (Stadnicki) Brisbois; a cherished son, Dr. Nicholas Brisbois of Boston; sister, Michele of CT; aunt, Henrietta Foisy of CT; sisters-in-law, Marian Stadnicki and Joan Senecal and her husband, Donald; brother-in-law, John Dubiel; nieces and nephews, Baker Senecal, Joshua and Emily Senecal, Jeffrey and Suzanne Dubiel, Darleen and Roland Lemay, Gina Marie and Nate Smara and many cousins. Mike was a 1967 graduate of Commerce High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from American International College and Masters of Business Administration from Western New England College. After Mike graduated, he managed a restaurant at Misquamicut Beach for many years. From 1995 to 1999, Mike was the Vice President of Manufacturing and Procurement for Worldwide Operations at Spalding Sports Worldwide. He was presently the owner of Starlight Entertainment Inc. Mike enjoyed his travels throughout the world and loved to taste the wines of the world as he compared those to the wine he personally made. Mike’s funeral will be on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee at 9 am. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St.Stanislaus School, 534 Front St. Chicopee, MA 01013.
