Michael J. Konieczny, 61, of Chicopee, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at home. For over twenty-five years, he was a quality assurance technician at the former A. G. Spaulding Corp. in Chicopee. Michael was born on June 7, 1955 in Springfield and was the son of the late Rudolph and Jennie (Iwanicki) Konieczny. He was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Holyoke Community College and continued his education at Westfield State University. Michael is survived by a brother, Rudolph Konieczny, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Greenfield and a sister, Beverly Konieczny of Chicopee, nieces and a nephew. Michael is predeceased by a brother, Anthony John Konieczny. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
