Patricia A. (Gallup) Murphy, 60, of Chicopee, died on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was a school crossing guard for the Chicopee School System. Patricia was born on March 25, 1957 in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Theresa E. (Favreau) Gallup. Patricia was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1975. She enjoyed bus trips, concerts and casinos. Patricia is survived by her husband, Michael J. Murphy; a son, Richard Barnes of Windsor, CT; a step- son, Michael Murphy, Jr. of West Springfield and her siblings, Donna Piedel and her husband, John, of Fredericksburg, VA, Donald Gallup and his wife, Carol of Ware, and Carol Szpiech and her husband, John of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. in Agawam at 1:00 pm. A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
