Paul J. Golba, 53 of Chicopee, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, July 7, 2019. He was born on March 22, 1966 in Holyoke, MA. Paul was the son of Dolores (Ahmed) Golba and the late Edward Golba, Sr. Paul graduated from Chicopee High School in 1984. He was an all-star soccer player, avid golfer, and diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a chef at the Springfield Country Club. Paul was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and loved by many. Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Krista Chmura-Golba of CO, three brothers, Edward Golba, Jr and Brian Golba of Chicopee, Glenn Golba of FL, and sister, Sue Haverly of CT, nieces Karine Golba of FL, Sarah Haverly, Ashley (Haverly) Westfall, and nephew, Michael Stamatopoulos of CT . Calling hours are on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls from 6-8 pm. Services will be held at St. Anne Church, 30 College St. in Chicopee on Saturday, July 13th for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee.
