Richard J. Boissonneault, 62, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2017 at the Holyoke Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Holyoke on September 13, 1955. He is the youngest son of Bernard L. Boissonneault and K. Claire (Griffin) Boissonneault. He has been married to his wife and best friend Ann (LaBelle) Boissonneault for 35 years. He is predeceased by his Father, Mother and Father in law Andre S. LaBelle Jr. and he leaves his Mother in law Solange (Bolduc) LaBelle. He was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Michigan State trade school where he became a Ferrier and Blacksmith. He loved being outdoors and for 17 years he has been the manager of Twin Oaks Campground in New Hampshire. He was a member of the RVIA National camping association, The Monson Rotary Club and a former fourth degree at The Knights of Columbus council 69 where he and his Father founded the Bernard L. Boissonneault Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Litchfield, CT. He will be missed by his two sons, Adam R. Boissonneault and his wife Nicole, Ryan R. Boissonneault and his wife Heather, his sister Donna Piela, his brother Bernie Boissonneault and his wife Kathleen Mullins and his sister Kathy Renaud and her husband David. He was the proud Grampy of Owen Boissonneault and Emmett Boissonneault. He was predeceased by his Brother in law Raymond LaBelle and he leaves 4 sisters in law Muriel Bolduc and her husband Daniel, Terry Vallee and her partner Bob, Sallie Sawin and her husband Rick, Mona Halket and her husband Ross, 1 brother in law Roger LaBelle and his wife Shirley. He had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and an enormous amount of friends that will be feeling his loss. He loved to sit and laugh around his campfire with friends; he loved horses, his motorcycle and he adored his 4 dachshund babies – Jake, KC, Angel and Cherub. He was known for his big personality, warm smile, sense of humor and his ability to make you feel like you were one of his family members. He was Jack of all trades and if it couldn’t be fixed ….. Ricky could fix it! His wife and family were his whole life and he would move mountains to make sure everyone was happy. His kindness and integrity will be remembered by so many with love, admiration and respect. Relatives and friends are welcome to come celebrate this incredible man’s life on Friday December 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home 69 East Street Chicopee, MA. A mass will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 at St. Rose deLima Church 600 Grattan St Chicopee, MA. Please all meet at the church; the mass will begin at 11:00 AM.
