Roger Joseph Page, 65, of Ludlow, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at home after a long illness surrounded with loved ones by his side. Roger was born on June 3, 1951 in Holyoke, the son of Mary A. (Lacus) Page and the late J. Roger Page. He was raised in the Aldenville section of Chicopee and attended St. Joan of Arc School, and graduated in 1970 from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. He was a shipper at Carando’s Meat in Springfield for over 41 years and retired in 2010 due to failing health. Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman, and spent many happy hours hunting with his uncle, Rev. Msgr. Raymond Page and fishing at the “Camp”. He also enjoyed canoeing, and jet skiing and was a member of the NRA and the Chicopee Sportsmen’s Club. Roger leaves his loving mother, Mary A. Page of Chicopee, brothers, Michael E. Page of Sterling, CT and Paul R. Page of Ludlow and sister, Ann Page of Turners Falls, MA. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces. Roger was predeceased by his father J. Roger Page in 2014, sisters Joanne M. Page in 2012 and Kathleen A. Page in 2015. Special thanks to his brother Paul and Lori Carrion for the loving care that was given to Roger over the past few years. The family also wishes to thank Doreen, Terri, Pete, Morgan, and Mary for their compassionate and loving care of Roger. Family and friends may attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St. in Chicopee, MA on Saturday 17, 2016 at 9:30 am.
