Sandra L. (Kennison) Fontaine, 70, of Chicopee, died surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was a customer service representative for Commonwealth Packaging Co. Sandra was born on May 23, 1947 in Holyoke. She was the daughter of the late Clarence A. Kennison and Emily (Jagla) Kennison Champagne. She was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church and a member of the Grandparents Program at the Chicopee Senior Center. Sandra is survived by her husband of fifty years, Richard Fontaine. Sandra and Richard were high school sweethearts. She is also survived by her son, Michael Fontaine of Whittier, CA; three brothers, Gerald Kennison and his wife, Karen of Chicopee, Thomas Kennison and his wife, Sue of Las Vegas, NV and Robert Jaszek and his wife, Bonnie of Chicopee; a brother-in-law, Thomas Fontaine and his wife, Barbara, of Chicopee; a niece, Jessica La Fontaine and her husband, Norm and their children, Kyle, Gaige, Olivia and Madison and many other nieces and nephews. She also leaves her grand puppies, Bela and Phantom. Calling hours are on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 pm on Friday.
