CHICOPEE    Susan Santerre, 67, of Chicopee, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, January 2, 2026.  Susan was a life-long resident of Chicopee Falls and attended Chicopee High School.  During her career, Sue worked for years at a local dental office forging friendships with many patients and their families.  Susan is daughter to the late Richard and Lorette Rattelle, sibling to Constance Rattelle of Chicopee and Donna Gibbons of Winter Haven, FL. Most importantly Susan is the loving wife of 51 years to husband Lawrence (Pete) Santerre, and devoted mother to her children, son Daniel and wife Shelly, daughter Katelyn and husband Joe, and son Joshua (pre-deceased). Later in life, Susan was most proud of being a grandmother and enjoying time with her grandchildren, Aleta, Isabella, Harper, and Landen.  Susan enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, and decorating her huge front porch for every occasion and season. Susan was also an avid lover of animals. In lieu of gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the TJO Animal Adoption Center. There will be a private family observance only.
