Theresa H. (Piantek) Piecuch, 73, of Ludlow, died on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Theresa was born on June 1, 1944 in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Zabawa) Piantek. Theresa grew up in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School. In 1973, she moved to Ludlow. She was a clerk at American Telephone and Telegraph Co., retiring in 1991. Theresa then was a Library Aid for the City of West Springfield School Department. She was a communicant of St. Cecelia’s Church. Theresa is survived by her husband, Stanley Piecuch, a daughter, Mary Salz and her husband, John of Ludlow and a brother, John J. Piantek and his wife, Diane of Scottsdale, Arizona. Theresa’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St., Chicopee Falls at 9 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr, 566 Front St. in Chicopee at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm.
