James “Jimmy” Frank Jedziniak, also known as, Papa, 76, of Chicopee. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of beloved Jimmy Jedziniak, who died at Baystate Medical Center on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was born in Chicopee, MA to the late Frank and Lena (Majowicz) Jedziniak. Jim graduated from Chicopee High School in 1965 and Westfield State University. He worked many years at Smith & Wesson in the gauge lab and at Sunshine Village as a driver in his later years. Jim was a lover of life and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a religious man and enjoyed being in company of his loved ones, who looked up to him as strong and inspirational. Jim enjoyed sports, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. Jimmy loved to read, use his kindle, and spend time gardening in his backyard. He fished mostly all the lakes and ponds in Western MA in the past and loved going on family vacations. Jim was a “Pro” at video games, starting with Atari and playing Pac-Man with his family back in the 1980’s. He loved listening to music and enjoyed great food. Jim had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be with. He was a true friend to all who knew him and will be terribly missed. Jimmy leaves his loving wife and friend of over 50 years, Joanne (Majka) Jedziniak; his daughters, Ailla Dzija and husband, Steven of Chicopee and Andria Monette and husband, Tim of Monson. He also leaves his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lilly Dzija and partner, Patrick Boudrias and their daughter, Evelina Boudrias “Little Lena”, Celest Dzija and partner, Hassan Issa, Ava Dzija and partner Tristan Charbonneau, Julia Monette and TJ Monette. He was a friend of Bill W. since 1974. Calling hours are on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee from 8:30 to 10 am. A liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10:30 am. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. |
