Charles F. “Charley” Pomietlarz, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Charley was born on September 7, 1941 in Chicopee and was the son of the late Charles and Natalie A. (Niemiec) Pomietlarz. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and attended Chicopee Schools. Charley participated in several events for Special Olympics. Besides his parents, Charley is predeceased by two sisters, Diane Benoit and Donna Stebbins. He is survived by a sister, Beverly Brackett of Suffield, CT and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at St. Anthony of Padua Church 56 St. Anthony St. in Chicopee at 11 am. Burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
