David R. Rivest, 45, of Chicopee, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2024.  He was born on October 19, 1978 in Springfield and was the son of Russell Rivest and Teresa (Sears) Costa.  David liked to fish, golf, swim and spend time with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Costa and her husband, Glen; his father, Russell Rivest and his wife, Lori; a daughter, Alyssa A. Rivest; his fiancé, Jennifer Wagner; a brother, Stephen P. Rivest; two stepbrothers; three stepsisters; beloved aunt, Barbara (Rivest) Maher and best friend, John Wagner. David is also survived by several aunts and uncles, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Calling hours are on Friday, March 15^th at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 5 to 7 pm. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
