Donna L. Majka, 69, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.  She was born on January 27, 1954 in Springfield and was the daughter of John Stefanik and Joan (LaBare) Hamel.  Donna worked as a blackjack dealer in Lake Tahoe. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, photography, watching movies and reading a good book.  James Taylor and country music were her favorites. Donna loved spending time in Westerly, RI, Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Lucia and the Mexican Caribbean, but mostly the special love her and her husband had. Her personality kept her going in different situations, but she managed to survive the bad and remember the good.  Donna is survived by her husband, Chester Majka; her aunt, Gail Watson and her husband, Tommy of Sturbridge and many other family members and friends.  Besides her parents, Donna is predeceased by a son, Aaron; a brother, Frank Shepherd; sister, Lynne Metras, aunts, Claire Smith and Connie Jackson.  She’s also predeceased by her Golden Sons: Jake, Hutch, Miller and Curly and her Texas Rescue, Tiny.  There will be no services at this time.
