Dorothy A. (Strzempek) Kepple, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Dorothy was born on September 30, 1942, in Holyoke and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Jennie (Boberek)  Strzempek.  Besides her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her sister, Mae T. Kosla and her life partner, Robert “Soupy” Dupruis.  Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Macsisak of Chicopee, and Diana Zahradnik of Belchertown: a sister Barbara Durand and her husband Roger of Springfield, 3 grandsons, Joseph Macsisak, James Zahradnik, and Zachary Zahradnik and a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Macsisak, her dog Kia and her horse RE and her many feral cats. Dorothy was a 1960 graduate of Chicopee High School. She was a hairdresser for many years and worked in the family business, Chicopee Bridal. She became a letter carrier for the U S Postal Service, where she retired in 2014.  Dorothy loved playing pitch, gardening, watching football, many years of showing horses and being with her grandchildren.  She also cared for the neighborhood feral cats. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Ridgewood Village Community Center, 124 Outer Drive Chicopee, MA, 01022.
