Ernest Lemire Jr. age 86 passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Baystate hospital in Springfield on August 9, 2021. Born to Ernest and Anna Partyka Lemire on May 3, 1935. He leaves his loving wife Loretta Lemire of 65 years. He also leaves his children Kenneth Lemire and his partner Marty Maziarz, Steven Lemire and his wife Barbara, Lisa Lemire, Lianne Lemire and her partner Cheryl Boissonneault, and his grandchildren Lauren Lemire and Kristina Lemire and her partner Jake Duffus. He also leaves his sister Estelle Duvall of Northfield Ma. and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Lorraine Chapdelaine of Chicopee Ma. Ernest served in the Korean war as a sharpshooter and cook in the Army. Ernie was an avid fisherman and had a deep love of golfball collecting. Ernie was a huge Redsox and Patriots fan and loved birdwatching, ice fishing, and playing cards. He will be missed dearly by his children. The funeral service will be private.
