Frank S. “Red” Drewniak, Jr., 86, died on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Heritage Hall East in Agawam.  Frank was a lifelong resident of Chicopee, born on October 19, 1936.  He was the son of the late Frank and Stella (Bobola) Drewniak.  Frank was the founder/owner of Frank’s Garage in Chicopee for over 65 years. He was known for his superior mechanical service and his love of car racing.  Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Katherine (Robak) Drewniak, a daughter, Pamela, his sister, Dorothy Alexopoulos and daughter-in-law, Laurie Drewniak.  Frank is survived by his sons, Darrell and his wife, Sue, Steven and Frank A., a grandson, Michael, a granddaughter, Danielle, all of Chicopee, niece, Debra Alexopoulos, grandniece, Brielle C. Trella of Chicopee, grandnephew, Eric Alexopoulos and his wife, Jennifer and great grandnephew, Calvin James Alexopoulos of Florida, brother-in-law, Thomas Alexopoulos, former wife, Barbara (Dzialo) Drewniak and his companion, Penny Hewitt.  He is also survived by his stepchildren, Dr. William J. Wegrzyn and his wife, Kristina of Springfield, Paul Wegrzyn and his wife, Sandy of Hampden, John Wegrzyn and Amy Wegrzyn of Chicopee and step grandchildren, Kayla, Wyatt, Jane and Wade.  Calling hours are on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 10 to 11 am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee with a funeral home service at 11 am.  Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
