Gabriele Dorothea (Ziarno) Kormannshaus, 66, of Springfield, passed away on August 15, 2023. Born in Stuttgart, Germany on September 28, 1956, she was the daughter of Siegfried Klaus Ziarno and Wiltrudis (Gottesgabe von Hellborn) LaBrie.  A passionate traveler, Gabriele’s love for exploring the world inspired her to establish a successful travel agency, touching countless lives through her adventurous spirit. Her joy extended to tending her garden, caring for her pets, and sharing laughter with friends. Gabriele’s candid humor and resilience were evident as she navigated medical challenges. Her authenticity endeared her to many, including her beloved neighbors Samantha, Mike, Debbie, Joe, and crew, as well as “The Golden Girls” of CareOne at Redstone. Her culinary skills were renowned, her German Potato Salad leaving an indelible mark. Gabriele is survived by her brother Claus Kormannshaus, nephew Captain Craig Kormannshaus, and his wife Yolián Ortiz of Charlotte, NC. She is predeceased by her parents and life partner Alain P. Veilleux. Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Four Corners Cemetery in Palmer. Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home is honored to handle the arrangements.
