James S. Rand, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on May 28, 1956 in Blytheveille, AR and was the son of Arnold and Joanne (Taylor) Rand.  Jim was a retired mail handler for the US Postal Service.  He served his country in the US Navy. Jim is survived by his children: Rebecca, (Michael) Wurster,  Timothy “TJ”,  (Veronica), Amber Rand (Darren B.) Gabriel (Erica) Rand; a brother, Robert Rand and his wife, Betsy and 6 grandchildren, Sydney, Samuel, Maxwell, Rory, Jettson Rand and Caroline Wurster. James is predeceased by his brother, Douglas.  Jim enjoyed traveling and camping. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 9 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave.  Ste. 420, Holyoke, MA 01040.
