Jane M (Topor) Sady of Springfield, Mass died peacefully at home after a short sickness. She just celebrated her 96th birthday on January 25th. She had been married to Stanley H Sady, who died in 2000, for 51 years. She leaves her sons, Stanley P. Sady PhD, MD of Tucson, AZ, and Gene Sady of Boulder, CO, and her daughters, Elaine Bartolucci of Sewell, NJ and Cindy Sady of Boulder, CO. Her eldest son, Richard H Sady, PhD died in 1982. Also, she leaves her sister Virginia Farley of Chicopee, MA, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jane was born in Chicopee, MA and graduated from Chicopee High School. She was primarily a homemaker who cherished her husband and children. She had some part-time jobs as a worker for a clothing manufacturer in Springfield and a local favorite, Millie’s Pierogi. She had many friends playing Bingo at the Basilica of St Stanislaus in Chicopee where she was long time member of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Rosary Society, Beautiful Years Club.

She had a great sense of humor and wonderful smile. She loved playing Bingo and Pokeno initially at the Basilica of St Stanislaus and later at her apartment at McKinley House, where she made some wonderful friends. She loved her flowers and had beautiful azaleas and African violets as part of her garden around and in her former house on Newbury Street. We will miss her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Basilica of St Stanislaus, 566 Front St. Chicopee, MA.
